The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Production Assistants to join our growing business and support Dolly's Desserts during our busiest time of the year.
This is a varied, hands-on role based in our production kitchen in Wombwell, Barnsley. You'll help prepare, package and pack our products ready to be sent to customers across the UK, working closely with our production and bakery team to ensure every order meets our high standards.
This is initially a temporary position, running until the end of the year to support us through our busiest trading period. However, there may be an opportunity to stay with us permanently afterwards.
The role will be on a zero-hours contract, with a range of different shifts available depending on the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Bottle our luxury dessert toppings accurately and efficiently.
Wrap and pack our bakes ready for customer orders.
Weigh and hand-bag ingredients such as flour and sugar.
Assist our bakers with a range of production tasks, including rolling cookies and chopping brownies and blondies.
Carry out a high level of quality control across all products.
Ensure products are prepared, packaged and presented to a consistently high standard.
Clean and maintain high hygiene standards throughout the production kitchen.
Pack customer orders carefully and accurately, ensuring the correct products are included.
Work efficiently as part of our production kitchen team to meet daily production and order targets.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures at all times.
Assist with a variety of other production and packing tasks when required during busy periods.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential

Willing to learn and get stuck into a variety of different tasks.
Able to follow instructions and work accurately.

A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
Previous experience working in a production, bakery, kitchen or food manufacturing environment.
Experience in packing, order fulfilment or warehouse work.
Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety procedures.
Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Previous work experience is not essential. We're more interested in finding people with a great attitude, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Full training will be provided, including food hygiene procedures, product standards, production processes and order packing.
